Road Bridge in Litvínov

It is a new bridge structure with 7 spans of a total length of approx. 120.0 m. The new bridge replaced the existing structurally inadequate structure and crosses Podkrušnohorská Street over Mezibořská Street in Litvínov. The project is being implemented on the basis of the winning design of the architectural competition held in 2016. The bridge was designed in the architectural competition as a structure made of rod prestressed prefabs made of UHPFRC. These are type beams that were developed as part of research activities by the Klokner Institute of the Czech Technical University in cooperation with spol. Pontex and manufactured and tested by KŠ Prefa. Finally, the bridge was realized as a reinforced concrete monolithic structure.
